About Me
Hi, I'm Emma. I'm a solo mum of three school-aged kids, lover of trees, hypnotherapist, energy practitioner, space holder and photographer. I live in Willow Grove and when I'm not taking pictures or kid wrangling, you can usually find me in the garden talking to my plants or creating something that involves me learning a new skill (currently it's collecting bones and tanning leather!).
I've been photographing small businesses and families since 2018, and have always leant more to the "lifestyle" or perceivably "natural" aesthetic. The more I've done this work, especially looking back on photos I've taken of my own children, the more I value the completely unprompted, "fly-on-the-wall" documentary photography. Having said that, I also know there is absolutely a place for some posing, prompts and gentle guidance in session as well so you can get the results and images you are looking for!
Things rarely go to plan in my household and I understand kids (and grown ups!) who need more time, space or movement. There’s no rushing or pushing anyone, I work intuitively and genuinely love the sessions where you do your own thing and I flit around capturing the little moments. This applies both to children and families, as well as business owners (especially those who’d rather be behind the scenes than in front of the lens). The better you know yourself and your business and can relax into your work, the more easily we can co-create the images that will truly share what you're here to do.

I acknowledge the Gunaikurnai people as the rightful and Traditional Custodians of the land I live and work on, who have looked after Country and passed on stories and wisdom for tens of thousands of years. I pay my respects to elders past and present, and acknowledge the enduring connections of all First Nations peoples to the earth, water and skies.
